7. ALF

ALF was an American science fiction sitcom that originally aired on NBC from1986 to 1990 but here in the Philippines it was shown on RPN channel 9. I remember watching Alf with the whole family, Nostalgia. ALF was created by Paul Fusco. The title character was Gordon Shumway, a friendly extraterrestrial nicknamed ALF (an acronym for Alien Life Form), who crash lands in the garage of the suburban middle class Tanner family.

This particular toy of ALF was given by a good friend named Carmelo Agustin way back when I still studying in the Mother of Good Counsel Seminary. By the way, Carmelo is now a priest and still a good friend.

6. Redbert Einstein

Last December 28 of 2010, my brother arrived from Kuwait for a holiday vacation here with the family. Of course if you joined in with the "fetching in the airport committee" which I did, you get to go to the Duty Free stores after. Men, I was really ogling at the new and rare products in Duty Free. One such find is the M&M's  Redbert Einstein which I think is a genius of a character. He may not be Nobel Prize winner in Physics or regarded as the Father of Modern Physics but he certainly knows the equation  E(Energy) = eating lots of M&M chocolates. And he is the only M&M character that can do Albert Einstein impressions  so uncannily. Wouldn't you agree Mr Einstein?

5. Orange

I got this Orange character of M&M when my  brother arrived from the States in 2002 if I am not mistaken. I just love going to the airport and fetching the Balikbayans because you get to go to Duty Free after. This particular toy is just a freebie when you buy two big bags of M&M products.
Orange is basically the newest character of M&M. he has the habit of looking both ways repeatedly even when he's not crossing the street. His hidden talent is the ability to spot a hungry person in the room. No wonder he's always looking over his shoulders.

1129. Popo

Popo was first introduced by Jollibee in the year 1985 to represent the Jolly Crispy Fries which I must admit are the crispiest indeed compared to the other fries in town. this modern version of  Popo is very much athletic and jocular. But the hair remains the same which made me very happy for it, I mean who wouldn't want fries for hair. I'm just saying.

3. Twirlie

I was able to buy this toy on December 16, 2010 after the Simbang Gabi with my family. My niece, Angel, was very much elated to have this toy around in our house while playing and comparing her with the older version of Twirlie which has pig tails and wearing a very girlie red dress on. This modern version of Twirlie is very futuristic looking, nonetheless, she's cute and adorable still. Twirlie represents the chocolate fudge and strawberry sundaes of Jollibee. These sundaes have always the signature twirl thus the mascot Twirlie becomes the obvious choice for an anthropomorphic representation of the delicious product which you can have not only on a Sunday but any day of the week.

2. Yum

I was very happy when Jollibee decided to give away these soft  and fluffy toys of some of its mascots particularly those that appear on their Television show on GMA Channel 7. You simply go to the nearest Jollibee store and buy a Value Meal..this will entitle you to purchase one of these adorable toys and then another beautiful thing about buying these toys is that a portion of what you have paid for it will be donated to charity. Not a bad idea to help us keep the spirit of Christmas.

Now about the character, Yum was formerly known as Mr. Yum when he was dressed up in a nifty blue suit with a red tie and looking all so grown up. But when they decided to reintroduce Mr. Yum in the new TV series of Jollibee, they decided to make the character more youthful and very adept to the technological advances we have in our prevailing Sitz im Leben.

But whether he be known as Yum or Mr. Yum, this character have well represented one of the best selling products of Jollibee that is the Jollibee Yumburger. Yum

1. Hetty Spaghetty

I purchased this Hetty Spaghetty toy last December of 2010. Hetty is a part of an ensemble of mascots of the Jollibee Food Corporation. She represents the delicious pinoy style spaghetti that is served hot and yummy in every Jollibee restaurants all over the Philippines, or if you're lucky in the Jollibee restaurant in your country.
