When called by this panther, you'll be sure to "anther." Velvet was born December 16, 1995, and her poem reads:

Velvet loves to sleep in the trees

Lulled to dreams by the buzz of the bees

Running and jumping in the moonlight!

Blackie is a honey of a bear. He was born August 15, 1994, and his poem reads:

Living in a national park

He only played after dark

Then he met his friend Cubbie

Now they play when it is sunny!

Except for his light brown muzzle, Blackie is (of course), black all over--even his button eyes and nose. He loves to lie on his belly, and he looks so comfortable that you'll be tempted to join him. Surface wash only.
