It started out as a simple hobby when, lo and behold, I realized I have just accumulated 20,000 distinct toy characters in my collection... and the number is still growing. This blog is a great space to share to others just how amazing some of these characters are especially the ones that may have been forgotten or perhaps even those deemed insignificant. Visit Percy's World of Toys as often as you can and witness how the list progresses right before your eyes. Enjoy.

3604. Dudley Furskin Bear
Dudley Furskin Bear is from the collection/edition that Wendys put out in 1986 around the holidays. Dudley wears the striped overalls but seems to have some shoes missing. Oh well, the kids must have played a lot with this toy and misplaced the shoes. Anyway, Dudley really looks like kindhearted character from the country. He would most probably be willing to deliver all the the apple pies that Hattie Furskin Bear made to their friends and family. Dudley measures approximately 7 inches in height.
Furskins Bears come in many sizes! Furskins were designed by Xavier Roberts (who also designed the Cabbage Patch Kids) and produced by Panosh Place, Original Appalachian Artworks & Coleco from 1983 to the late 80's. There were sixteen small, fuzzy poseable bears, six small plush bears and sixteen large plush bears too. They were all fully dressed, including hat and boots, and there was also separate clothing available plus at least one playset.
All sixteen characters were produced as large plush bears, ranging from 14" to 24" high. Large plush are pictured
