4305. Skeleton Pirate

March 14-April 10, 2008

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is a 2007 American adventure fantasy film, the third film in the Pirates of the Caribbean series. The plot follows Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, and the crew of the Black Pearl rescuing Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), from Davy Jones's Locker, and then preparing to fight the East India Trading Company, led by Cutler Beckett (Tom Hollander) and Davy Jones (Bill Nighy), who plan to extinguish piracy. Gore Verbinski directed the film, as he did with the previous two. It was shot in two shoots during 2005 and 2006, the former simultaneously with the preceding film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
The film was released in English-speaking countries on May 25, 2007 after Disney decided to move the release date a day earlier than originally planned. Critical reviews were mixed, but At World's End was a box office hit, becoming the most successful film of 2007, grossing over $960 million worldwide, and making it the third most successful in the series, behind On Stranger Tides and Dead Man's Chest.
It was nominated for the Academy Award for Makeup and the Academy Award for Visual Effects, which it lost to La Vie en Rose and The Golden Compass, respectively. It remains the most expensive film ever made, with a budget of $300 million. A fourth installment, On Stranger Tides, was released in theaters on May 20, 2011.

3894. William "Will" Turner, Jr.

William "Will" Turner, Jr. is a major character of the first three films in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series produced by Walt Disney Pictures. He is played by Orlando Bloom (and as a child by Dylan Smith in the movie's prologue). Will is a blacksmith's apprentice working in Port Royal. He secretly loves the governor's daughter, Elizabeth Swann (played by Keira Knightley), although he occupies a lower social class than she. Will is an exceptional swordsman, although he lacks actual combat experience. Although mild mannered, Will is brave, as seen when he confronts Captain Jack Sparrow in a sword fight and by his response to Barbossa's attack on Port Royal. He is loyal to those he cares about and would risk everything to protect them, especially Elizabeth. This trait is seen throughout the films as Will's character develops more by his reaction to unforeseen circumstances rather than his personal ambition or deliberate choices. Most likely he would have continued plying his trade, never presuming to rise above his current station, pining for the woman he believes he can never have. At his best, Will is clever, heroic, and courageous and never shirks responsibility or leaves an obligation unfulfilled. He can also be preoccupied and brooding and, early on, demonstrated rather simplistic and naïve views, although his character gradually matures and deepens into a more complex and worldly man as the films progress.

Will is "Bootstrap" Bill Turner's only child. According to Jack Sparrow, Will strongly resembles his father, both in appearance and ability. However, his father was absent during his early childhood in England (he was born in Glasgow, Scotland but his mother moved him to England when he was young) and Will grew up believing him to be a merchant seaman. Following his mother's death, Will, then about twelve years old, emigrated to Port Royal, searching for his father, and, after being rescued from a shipwreck, was apprenticed to a blacksmith. The Black Pearl crew have been searching for the gold medallion that "Bootstrap" sent Will, which Captain Barbossa needs to break an ancient Aztec curse.

2535. Tia Dalma

Tia Dalma was a practitioner of voodoo and was known as a mystic and witch doctor. She resided in a shack on the Pantano River in Cuba.
Tia Dalma was originally the goddess Calypso. During this time, Davy Jones fell in love with her. Calypso gave him the task of guiding the spirits of the dead lost at sea and Jones accepted the task out of love for her. However, she scorned him when he returned to see her ten years later.
Feeling jilted, Davy Jones made a secret agreement with the Pirate Lords. He showed them how to bind her to human form using Pieces of Eight; and thus, at the first Brethren Court, the pirates "captured the Sea Goddess, and bound her in her bones." Her binding tamed the seas and satisfied Jones's desire for vengeance. This entrapment could only be reversed if the Brethren Court reassembled, resubmitted the original nine Pieces of Eight they used to bind her, and burned them.
During her human sojourn she was commonly called Tia Dalma. She was unaware of the crucial role that her former inamorato, Jones, had played in her imprisonment.
Little of Tia Dalma's past is known from this point on, save for an association with pirates like James Sterling and Jack Sparrow. By Jack's sixteenth year, Tia Dalma was already established on the Pantano River, and was considered to be the greatest mystic in the Caribbean. She returned to Jack the eye of Stone-Eyed Sam along with two beads that allowed him to summon the spirit of Montecuhzoma to defeat the phantom Hernán Cortés. Later, during a meeting with the crew of the Barnacle, Dalma professed to have divined something of Sparrow's future, and seemed to be aware that the Chest of Cortés would play a part in his later life. It was during this time that Dalma provided Jack with catnip; the means to return Constance Magliore to her human form, after Dalma herself transformed the girl into a cat.
It was thought that Tia and Jack became lovers at some point during the latter's adult life[3]—Jack confessed to having "known" her at a time when they had been "inseparable"—and Dalma provided him with his compass; a mysterious device that pointed to that which its user truly wanted.

2534. William "Will" Turner

William "Will" Turner is a blacksmith who lives in Port Royal yet is very good with a sword. He was played by Orlando Bloom.
After being found in the wreckage of a ship at sea, Will Turner was taken aboard a ship traveling to Port Royal. There, he became a blacksmith's apprentice. He falls in love with Elizabeth Swann, the governor's daughter, and wants to marry her but she plays hard to get.In the end he finally marries her in the middle of an awful fight called Malstorm. However, after killing Davy Jones, he became captain of the Flying Dutchman, which allows him to make port only once per ten years.

2533. Elizabeth Swann

Elizabeth Swann is the daughter of Weatherby Swann, governor of Port Royal. She was played by Keira Knightley.
She becomes James Norrington's fiance after he proposes to her. She only accepts his marriage proposal so he will save Will Turner, the man she loves. After Will is rescued, the marriage is called off. She marries Will Turner instead and has a son named Jack Turner.
After Elizabeth gives birth to Jack Turner, William is forced to go to sea every ten years. When William's son is ten years old and it has been ten years Will Turner returns to see his wife and son. At the end of At Worlds End we don't see Will unite he is with his family.

2524-2525. Two Head

Two Head, also known as the Twins, were two conjoined crew members onboard the Flying Dutchman, under the command of Captain Davy Jones.
The being known as Two Head was two pirate brothers who resembled Siamese twins. The two brothers that were joined together when Davy Jones was captain of the Flying Dutchman were never actually born as conjoined twins. The reason why they are joined together is because that is the result of their eternal servitude aboard the Flying Dutchman. After Davy Jones is slain and Will Turner becomes the captain of the Flying Dutchman, the curse on the crew of the Flying Dutchman is lifted and they become human again. The two brothers become normal twins again and are no longer joined together. They were joined from the shoulder down, each one with one arm and a third leg ending in a stump where they were connected. Two further arms hung limp from their front and back. Their toes were cemented into calcified blocks by tiny parasitic crustaceans. The left twin had lobster claws growing out of his head, while his brother's eyes had transformed into those of a seahorse. They both had small beards of coral and eyes like polyps.
The Twins were present during Will Turner's game of Liar's dice, where one twin ate a piece of the other's shoulder. They later manned the Kraken Hammer. After Lord Cutler Beckett assumed control of Davy Jones, the Twins participated in the battle of Calypso's maelstrom.

2522. Captain Teague

Captain Teague is pirate, and is Keeper of the Code for the Brethren Court. He is played by Keith Richards.
Teague is Jack Sparrow's father. He is the former Pirate Lord of Madagascar, but he resigned to become Keeper of the Code.

2521. Jack Sparrow

Jack Sparrow, known to many people as Captain Jack Sparrow, is a pirate. He is played by Johnny Depp.
Jack Sparrow was captain of the black-sailed ship called the Black Pearl. However, after a mutiny led by his first mate Hector Barbossa, he was marooned on an island with nothing but a gun holding one bullet. However, he survived for three days on the island. There were many rumors about how he escaped the island, many of them glorifying Sparrow. In reality, Sparrow had discovered a smuggler's cache of rum and waited for the smugglers to come rescue him.
He assembles a crew to help him re-claim the Black Pearl. After the curse is lifted from the crew of the Black Pearl, he kills Barbossa using the gun he was left with when he was marooned. He re-claims his position as captain of the Black Pearl.

2518. Davy Jones

Davy Jones is captain of the Flying Dutchman. He is voiced by Bill Nighy.
Davy Jones turned into a monster after he cut his heart out for Calypso. He is the captain of the Flying Dutchman, a ship crewed by those offered a second chance at life for a hundred years. Their job is to ferry souls to the afterlife. However, Davy Jones uses the crew for his own purposes. This has caused him and the crew to transform into monsters resembling sea life.
Davy Jones was killed by Will Turner aboard the Flying Dutchman. Will was stabed by Davy Jones and then Bootstrap charged at Davey Jones and attacked him. But when Davey Jones got a grip on him he took out his sword and was going to stab Bootstrap just as Jack sparrow took the heart out of the chest and helped will stab it with a broken sword.
Davy Jones did not cut his heart out for Calypso. He cut his heart out after she betrayed him by not showing up the one day Davy Jones was allowed to make port. He was so hurt that he cut out his own heart, refusing to have those feeling near him. This is also the reason Davy Jones tought the brethern court how to bind Calypso to human form.
