4478. Tepig

Tepig (Japanese: ポカブ Pokabu) is a Fire-type Pokémon.
Tepig evolves into Pignite starting at level 17, which evolves into Emboar starting at level 36.
Along with Snivy and Oshawott, Tepig is one of three starter Pokémon of Unova available at the beginning of Pokémon Black and White.

Tepig is a pig-like Pokémon, primarily orange in coloration with the additional colors of black, pink, and yellow on various portions of its body. It has large, ovular eyes, an archetypically piglike ruddy-pink nose, and a thick stripe of yellow over its snout. Much of its face has black coloration, and its ears, long and oblong, are positioned closely together on the top of its head. Tepig has short legs, with the extremities of its forefeet being black in coloration. There is a band of black on its lower back and rear, from which extends its coiled tail, topped with a ruddy-red bauble-like adornment.

It can blow fire from its snout. Tepig are very nimble, so can dodge attacks with ease. Tepig and its evolutionary relatives are the only Pokémon that can learn Heat Crash.

Tepig uses its fire-breathing abilities to cook its food. Tepig will blow smoke from its nose instead of embers if it becomes sick. It has been shown to wag its tail when happy.

4464. Golduck

Golduck (Japanese: ゴルダック Golduck) is a Water-type Pokémon.
It evolves from Psyduck starting at level 33.

Golduck have webbed hands and feet, ending in broad flippers, which they use to swim in rivers and lakes, much in the way as a duck would move. Their blue bodies are especially adapted to have a great hydrodynamic shape, and they have long tails with which they use to steer. Golduck are sometimes mistaken for the Japanese monster and physical inspiration for Golduck, the Kappa due to their bluish color, general body shape, and webbed hands and feet. Golduck also have red irises, a small, red sphere on their forehead, and four spikes on their head. Although Golduck have no wings, only webbed hands and feet, it is still deemed a duck instead of a platypus.

Golduck are fast swimmers, out-swimming even the most athletic of humans because of their frog-like webbed hands and feet. The gem on their foreheads glows when they use their psychic powers, and occasionally when they swim at full speed, suggesting that they sometimes use those powers to swim. As shown in the Pokémon Adventures manga, after evolving from Psyduck, Golduck have greater control of their powers. They have the ability to read minds or even give knowledge to their trainers and fellow Pokémon through telepathy.

It has been noted that Golduck will often join swimmers when training. They are sometimes found rescuing people lost at sea from danger, their heads shimmering from the telekinetic powers that allow them do so. The headaches that ridiculed its Basic evolution form, Psyduck, don’t trouble Golduck, allowing them to have full use of their formidable mental powers.

Golduck live in freshwater lakes and in rivers, though they can also be seen occasionally in coastal waters. They can be found in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh.

Pidgeot (Japanese: ピジョット Pigeot) is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon.
It evolves from Pidgeotto starting at level 36. It is the final form of Pidgey.

Physiology
Pidgeot bares striking resemblance to Pidgeotto; however, Pidgeot is noticeably larger than its pre-evolution. Its plumage tends to be larger and glossier. The feathers on its head-crest are nearly as long as its body, and are yellow and red. Its tail feathers are red colored. Like its previous evolutions, its underbelly is a tan color, and it has black markings around its eyes.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Pidgeot is a powerful flier, capable of creating whirlwinds strong enough to bend trees. At maximum velocity it can reach speeds of Mach 2 if it accelerates for long enough, which is incredibly rare. It has keen eyes that allow it to see Magikarp from a distance of 3300 feet in the air.
Behavior
Pidgeot are normally calm and confident in their abilities. It has many powerful attacks, and its plumage is often described as beautiful, making it a popular choice for skilled trainers. Pidgeot may also spread its wings widely to intimidate enemies.
Habitat
Forest Pokémon
Pidgeot typically dwell in forests with thick growth and large trees. It can most likely be found in Kanto and Johto.
Diet
Pidgeot seems to primarily subsist on a diet of Bug-type and Water-type Pokémon which it fishes out of the water using its high speed and keen senses. However, like all Pokémon, it is also capable of surviving by eating apples and Berries.

4326. Pachirisu

Pachirisu (Japanese: パチリス Pachirisu) is an Electric-type Pokémon.
It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.

A large white tooth grows out of their mouth. Their eyes are a deep gray. Their cheeks and eyes are similar to that of a Pikachu, but the cheeks are yellow instead of red. Pachirisu have tails that are almost twice as big as they are, with three spikes at the top of the curl, which it can shoot charges from. Their arms and legs are very short. Still, they can run incredibly fast, a trait usually associated with Electric-types.
Gender differences
The blue stripe running down a female's head is shorter than a male's.
Special abilities
Pachirisu has a great amount of electricity flowing in its body. If it builds up enough charge, it may shock other Pokémon with this electricity. Pachirisu are extremely fast, enabling it to tire pursuing Pokémon out quickly.
Behavior
Pachirisu are active Pokémon, generally being hyper active during the day. When they sleep, Pachirisu like to curl their big, fluffy tails round to the front of their bodies and use them as a pillow. They also like to chase and groom their tails. When a Pachirisu sheds its fur it shapes them into furballs. Because its fur has static in it, the furballs do too. It hides its favorite foods in these static puffs and stores them in tree holes. It does this to protect the food -- if a human or another Pokémon tries to take the food, they will get shocked from the static. A pair of Pachirisu may rub their cheek pouches together to share stored electricity.
Habitat
Pachirisu are generally found in tree tops in forests, as well as the outskirts of a forest and near power plants. Many Trainers like to catch Pachirisu or keep it as a pet because of their cute looks.
Diet
Pachirisu is known to eat mainly berries. Its diet is similar to that of Pikachu.

Physiology
Snivy is a reptilian Grass-type Pokémon. Most of its body is green in coloration, while it has a cream-colored underside. A yellow stripe runs down the length of its back and tail, and it also has yellow markings around its large eyes, extending from its eyelids. Yellow, curved structures protrude from its shoulders and bend backwards. These structures resemble leaves or small wings, as well as a fleur-de-lis when viewed from the back, and give Snivy the appearance of wearing a collar. In spite of being snake-like in appearance, it has fully-developed limbs. Its slender arms are the same green color as the rest of its body and have three fingers, while its tiny feet match its underside in coloration and have no digits whatsoever. It has a large, palmate leaf with three prongs on the end of its tail.

4275. Porygon

Porygon is a Normal-type Pokémon.
It evolves into Porygon2 when traded holding an Up-Grade, which evolves into Porygon-Z when traded holding a Dubious Disc.

Porygon is the first known artificial Pokémon that was ever created. It was created by Pokémon Lab according to a Pokémon Report found in Silph Co. In addition, its presence as a prize pokémon in the then-Team Rocket owned Celadon Game Corner as well as Team Rocket's earlier control over Silph Co. suggests that Team Rocket was involved in its creation.
Porygon has a pink polyhedral body with a blue stomach, blue triangular prism feet, and a blue rectangular prism tail. Porygon has a pink, polyhedral head that ends in a blue beak and has hexagonal eyes. Porygon is made completely out of programming code. Built into this code is a Silph copyright protection preventing duplication through electronic means.

Porygon is a genderless species.

Porygon is shown with the ability to change types into either one of its own moves or its opponent's type, or to resist the last move that hit it using a process only it and its evolutions can know. This process is known as Conversion or Conversion 2, with Conversion having the former function, and Conversion 2 having the latter function.
Porygon is also capable of changing its appearance using Sharpen, and is one of the only Pokémon that can learn this move.
Porygon is capable of using various Ice and Electrical attacks, along with a few Psychic abilities and the rare ability to wield Tri Attack.
Due to its man-made origins, Porygon does not have the need to breathe.
Even though Porygon is an unevolved, non-legendary Pokémon, it can still learn Hyper Beam and Giga Impact. This is because it could not evolve when it was introduced.

Porygon can only perform the basic motions included in its program, and thus it can be said that its behavior is artificial.

Because they are man-made, Porygon are generally found in computers or in labs and other buildings people work, which makes them almost uncatchable. However, Porygon are found in the wild in Sinnoh's Trophy Garden and can be won at the Rocket Game Corner in Celadon City.

Porygon is completely artificial and doesn't need to eat. However, it is still seen eating Pokémon food in Pokémon Snap. It can also be seen eating apples and gummies in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Series. It can also be seen eating Poffins and Pokéblocks and drinking Aprijuice if fed.

2543. Metapod

Metapod (Japanese: トランセル Trancell) is a Bug-type Pokémon.
It evolves from Caterpie starting at level 7 and evolves into Butterfree starting at level 10.

While Metapod is classified as a cocoon Pokémon, it bears more resemblance to a serpentine chrysalis. Its soft body is protected by a hard outer shell while it undergoes metamorphosis. While this shell is said to be as hard as steel, a large sudden impact could cause its vulnerable body to pop out, leaving it completely exposed. It shares many physiological and behavioral characteristics with Kakuna, Silcoon and Cascoon suggesting a possible relation between the four.

Metapod possess a very limited range of movement. However, by hardening their outer shell, they can protect themselves from most kinds of enemies.

In order to conserve as much energy as possible, Metapod generally remain motionless. They can be very difficult to spot in the wild, because their green coloration helps them blend in with the treetop canopies. If an enemy discovers Metapod, it is unable to do anything other than harden its outer shell. While this is enough to deter most predators, it does not offer complete protection, as the Metapod's insides remain soft and vulnerable. Its second line of defense is to drop out of the trees using String Shot. Because of its vulnerability, Metapod evolve rapidly into their final evolutionary stage.

Metapod can often be found in wooded areas, such as Viridian Forest. They dangle themselves from leafy canopies using String Shot. They can be found in Kanto and Johto with reports of them being seen in Sinnoh and Unova as well.

Metapod does not eat. It relies on the energy it stored as a Caterpie.

4117. Zoroark

Copyright 2011

Zoroark (Japanese: ゾロアーク Zoroark) is a Dark-type Pokémon.
It evolves from Zorua starting at level 30.
Zoroark, along with its pre-evolution, Zorua, were the first Generation V Pokémon to be revealed to the public, on February 10, 2010. Zoroark was first revealed as a silhouette before being revealed in full.

Zoroark is a bipedal fox-like Pokémon, and mainly grayish-brown in coloration with crimson and black accents. It has a pointed snout and ears, the insides of which have red coloration. Zoroark also has some red rimming its eyes and mouth. Zoroark has a large, voluminous mane, primarily red in coloration but with black tips. The mane also somewhat resembles a ponytail, as a teal bangle down its length separates a mass of the mane from the lower portion. Zoroark has a black ruff on its upper body, pointed at the shoulders from which its arms extend. Its upper arms are thin, whereas its lower arms, while still slim, are bulkier. The arms have spiky extensions of fur at the elbows, and Zoroark's three claws, as well as the claws on its feet, are red in coloration.

Zoroark are capable of creating illusions that are indistinguishable from reality, deluding many people simultaneously. However, unlike Pokémon that are able to Transform, Zoroark is incapable of physically changing itself into another form; it is merely capable of casting illusions. Thus, Zoroark's type and stats do not change when casting an illusion, and it is unable to use the moves or abilities of the Pokémon that it is pretending to be. They can, however, make convincing illusions of attacks, and these illusions are extremely realistic, to the point that even cameras are fooled and one may believe they're being physically affected, though the illusion does not have any direct physical effect. Zoroark, along with its pre-evolution, are the only Pokémon capable of learning Night Daze.

Zoroark live in groups, where unity is strong. They are extremely protective of those they care about and are willing to go to any lengths to keep them safe, including risking their own life, and also hold grudges on those who harm their loved ones. Zoroark has the ability to create illusions to confuse foes, and will even create illusory landscapes to hide its territory. Zoroark apparently will hide their Zorua young in their mane to protect them and carry them around.

Zoroark appears to live in forests, and will create an illusory landscape to protect its den. One particular Zoroark resides in Lostlorn Forest, using its illusions to betwitch both Trainers and Pokémon to protect its lair.

3861. Reshiram

Reshiram (Japanese: レシラム Reshiram) is a dual-type Dragon/Fire legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation V.
It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.
Reshiram is the version mascot of Pokémon Black, appearing on the boxart. It is also the first of the Tao trio, which exists in the legends of the Unova region.

Reshiram is a white-colored, bipedal Pokémon of seemingly draconian and mammalian basis, with some of the avian features of feathers. Reshiram's snout is mammalian in appearance, most resembling something vulpine or even canine, or possibly even a goat. Streaming out from the upper side of the snout and outward from the head is a long, voluminous wispy mane, the top of which forms a spike or small head-crest of some sort. Reshiram's face is fringed with spiky features, with one small, pointed extension of it below the chin.
Reshiram's neck is long and slender, with a collar-esque protrusion of fur or feathers seeming held in place by two somewhat glass-like neck-bands, with similar bands present on the "wrists" of Reshiram's forelimbs. Reshiram's forelimbs are expansive, wing-like appendages or some unusual sort of wings themselves; the beginning portions of the limbs are slender and generally conventionally arm-like, but flare out into a more wing-like, feathered section farther on the limb, sporting four claws on the leading edge. On Reshiram's chest is a feathered feature most similar in shape to a Silver Wing, with the lower portion protruding outward to a point. Long feathers spread out from Reshiram's thighs, its feet with large claws—three in front, and the one in the back positioned at an angle somewhat like high heels. Reshiram's tail is a thick mass of a center-most plume and ribbon-like secondary extensions, surrounded by two large bands. This tail is based on an electric turbine.

Reshiram is a genderless species.

Reshiram has a jet engine-like tail used to accelerate itself when flying in high speeds. It can send flames into the air from its tail to incinerate everything around it. It can move the atmosphere and change the world's weather by flaring its tail. Reshiram is the only Pokémon that can learn Fusion Flare and Blue Flare, though Victini can learn the former from an event.

In a Unova myth about the twin heroes, as Reshiram sided with the older brother who sought truth, it firmly believes in truth.
