3876. Glad Bob-omb

Glad Bob-omb is an enemy found on Vibe Island in the game, Super Princess Peach.

Glad Bob-ombs are like regular Bob-ombs, only they tend to jump around more. They also appear to be singing a tune as they hop, showing off how glad they are. When they explode, they leave behind a puff of confetti. However, the confetti doesn't affect the gameplay.

According to the game's Glossary, it states that a Glad Bob-omb "Skips happily toward you. It explodes, so be careful!"

2855. Rosalina

Rosalina is a character who makes her debut appearance in the game Super Mario Galaxy. Rosalina first appears in the Gateway Galaxy, and she is also the adopted mother of the Lumas. Rosalina commands the Comet Observatory. She is a very powerful figure, as her duty is to watch over and protect the cosmos as well as the Lumas.
Rosalina's back-story is chronicled in her storybook told by her in the Comet Observatory's Library in Super Mario Galaxy. Nine chapters are unlocked throughout the game, and the last is unlocked by completing the game. During the story, Rosalina mentions her home planet as "a blue planet"; Earth is also known by this name.
Rosalina has been voiced by Mercedes Rose in all of her appearances to date.
Rosalina has a very tall frame, in terms of other characters, being about as tall as Waluigi, if not taller. Rosalina appears to have a similar body composition to Peach, though she is taller than her, and is even classified as a large-sized character in Mario Kart Wii, as a result. Rosalina's skin is very fair, being a pallor white. Most of her facial features are similar to Peach's, but are tapered sharper. She has the same type of lips and nose as Peach, though her mouth has more of a natural frown and a pinkish-orange tone. Her eyes are similar to Peach's as well, but are more almond-shaped and have a deep, brown shade to her lashes rather than black. Like other main human characters, Rosalina has blue eyes, though her's have a noticeably cyan hue.
Rosalina's hair is depicted as a platinum-blonde, a much lighter blond than Peach's yellow-blond. Rosalina's hair style is very similar to Peach's, as it consists of two separate flips on the sides in the same shape. Unlike Peach's hair however, Rosalina's includes one large bang (which covers her right eye completely), two long, shaped ear-tails, and two rows of flips at her shoulder. Continuing from her shoulder is a large single flip down her back.

2417. Koopa Paratroopa

Koopa Paratroopas (also known as Parakoopas, Sky Troopas in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, or simply Paratroopas), are Koopa Troopas with wings. They lose their wings when they are attacked in air, such as getting stomped or hurt by fireballs. They traditionally come in two varieties: Red Koopa Paratroopas usually fly up and down or side to side in a set path, while green Koopa Paratroopas often bounce in the player's general direction. Red Koopa Paratroopas first appear in World 1-3 of Super Mario Bros., while the green ones first appear in World 2-1 of the same game. However, some Paratroopas hover left and right, but in Super Mario Bros., World 7-2 has left/right Paratroopas. Their name comes from "paratrooper", a term used in the military to describe soldiers who parachute down to attack.

182. Hammer Bros.

Hammer Bros. (also pronounced Hammer Brothers), are a species of Koopa that stand upright and throw hammers at passing by-standers. They have been around since Super Mario Bros. They have bigger shells than normal Koopas and wear headgear. They can also use special hammers to shrink their enemies. Hammer Bros. have many times been described as the most elite fighters in Bowser's Koopa army. These enemies were originally designed by Kazuaki Morita.

181. Blue Nokonoko

Koopa Troopas (usually Koopas, occasionally Troopas, Japanese ノコノコ Nokonoko) are common enemies in the Mario series, usually displayed as foot soldiers of the Koopa Troop, under the direct leadership of Bowser. Since Super Mario 64, however, many Koopas have appeared who do not work for Bowser (or any other villain), some of whom even act as allies to Mario during his adventures. Koopa Troopas are turtle-like creatures with shells that come in many different colors, with red and green Koopa Troopas being the most common. Koopas, along with Goombas, are some of Mario's most common foes.

As mentioned below, an enemy that first appeared in Mario Bros., the Shellcreeper, was the "ancestor" of the Koopa Troopa. When creating Super Mario Bros., a few changes were made to the enemies, including the ability to jump on them in order to damage them.

The Koopa Troopa's name comes from Bowser's Japanese name, クッパ Kuppa, which is itself derived from the Korean dish of the same name. The last name Troopa, is taken from the word "troop" in reference to the Koopas' role as foot soldiers in Bowser's army, with the a likely added on to make the name rhyme. It could also be viewed as a corruption of the word "trooper", in the same way that Paratroopa could be analogous to "paratrooper". Their Japanese name, ノコノコ Nokonoko, means "unconcernedly," although the latter use is usually written in hiragana.

152. Star

Stars (a.k.a. Super Stars, Starmen, Invincibility Stars, or Rainbow Stars) are items used in many Mario games, including the Super Mario series and the Mario Kart series. If Mario gets a Star, he will become Invincible Mario. The user becomes temporarily invulnerable to all damage, except to hazards that would normally be fatal, regardless of powerups (lava, pits, time-over, getting crushed, etc). Any projectiles or enemies that come into contact with the user of the Star while it is activated are either destroyed, damaged, or spun out (depending on the type of enemy and what game it is). The Star also increases the speed of the user substantially.
From Super Mario World and beyond in the Super Mario Bros. series (including several remakes), if the player collides and defeats eight enemies while invincible (five in Super Mario Land 2), they will get a 1-Up. As they continue rampaging through enemies, they will keep getting 1-Ups for each additional enemy steamrolled until the Star wears off completely (as in the player becomes vulnerable again). Touching another Star while already invincible will prolong the effect and allow the player to continue getting 1-Ups.
In most games where stars appear as items, once collected, a theme will play. This theme is just as famous as the Super Mario Bros. theme, leading to remixes and remakes into ringtones.
