It started out as a simple hobby when, lo and behold, I realized I have just accumulated 20,000 distinct toy characters in my collection... and the number is still growing. This blog is a great space to share to others just how amazing some of these characters are especially the ones that may have been forgotten or perhaps even those deemed insignificant. Visit Percy's World of Toys as often as you can and witness how the list progresses right before your eyes. Enjoy.

1488. Nigel
A conniving cockatoo, Nigel is not a pretty bird... but he used to be. Once a popular telenova star, he was replaced by a younger and more colorful bird. Now he has it out for all birds for beauty. Today, you'll find Nigel putting his jealousy and rage to find in his new role as "evil henchbird" to the smugglers.
Nigel is first seen as a "patient" at Tulio Monteiro's aviary. However, his sickliness is quickly revealed to be a front for him to let Fernando in so he can steal Blu and Jewel and bring them to Marcel. When Jewel tries to escape, Nigel pins her down and returns her to Marcel. After Blu and Jewel are locked up, Nigel comes to them, explaining his motivations with the song Pretty Bird. Later, Nigel hears them trying to escape, and tries to stop them. The chase leads into the slums of Rio, where Nigel collides with an electrical transformers. The next day, Nigel is sent by Marcel to retrieve Blu and Jewel, extorting the help of Mauro and his underlings to do so. After they fail to capture their quarry, Nigel goes after them himself, capturing Jewel and using her as bait to draw in Blu.After the captives are loaded into the smugglers plane, they manage to get out of their cages. Nigel is sent to stop them, pinning Blu and injuring Jewel's wing. However, Blu manages to hook a fire extinguisher to Nigel's leg and set it off, sending him flying out of the plane and into the propeller.
Afterwards, Nigel is shown to have survived, but lost most of his feathers in the process. Mauro then takes a picture of Nigel, to his humiliation.
