2024. Bubblegum



Since its launch in 1995 Carlton Card's Bubblegum has become a major greetings card, gift and licensing brand. In 14 years, more than 100 million cards have been sold and the brand has generated over £300 million in cumulative sales in the UK.
A classic brand with high awareness ‐ simple, distinctive graphics and captions, strong characters, Colourful, fun irreverent expression. Brand values – cute, fun, funny, funky, happy, cheeky, cool!

Ben Whittington is a Graphic Designer based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. He is currently employed as a Design Manager by a major greetings card publisher but also continues to to provide design solutions to a number of clients outside of the card industry. He's privileged to work within the team that created Bubblegum and alongside notable industry professionals such as Ged Backland, Phil Renshaw and Jez Spencer. He is responsible for solely creating all of the Bubblegum Jooce Lightwave 3D Illustrations (as well as other Bubblegum 3D programs) with Art Direction from Bubblegum's character creator Phil Renshaw.
