Tigger’s introduction is marked by his venturing on the doorstep of Winnie the Pooh in the middle of a night with a big bounce bang. Despite him saying that he likes eating “everything” it is quickly known that he isn’t fond of honey (Hunny), thistles and haycorns or even the other food available in Kanga’s kitchen. While the search is on to find him something as per his liking it revealed that he loves the extract of malt which Kanga keeps to give Roo (Kanga’s son) as a strengthening medicine.
From then on Tigger makes Kanga’s house his house and resides with Roo & Kanga in their house located in the northeastern section of the 100 Acre Wood along side the Sandy Pit. Soon Tigger becomes goods friends with Roo. At times Tigger gets so overly enthusiastic about things while conversing with other characters that some like Rabbit become vary of him. His constant bouncing makes the others somewhat trying to distance themselves from him fearing his acts might lead to a mishap. Eeyore was once bounced into the river by Tigger while Piglet is always a tad nervous being around when Tigger is his bouncy mood.
