Meet Spinner the Spider. Introduced in the third quarter of 1996, Spinner has been weaving his own little web of success for nearly seven years. Although the beanie craze didn't really hit the United States until a couple of years later, Spinner is worthy of purchase if you can find him anywhere. Noting that he is seven years old, a collector will instantly know that he is retired, and very difficult to find. One place you may be able to find him is in a local pawn shop, or perhaps at a garage/yard sale around town, but don't expect them to be in mint condition.
Spinner's Material Design
For the legs and upper portion of the central body, as well as the whole underside of the body, you will get a jet black color. For a seven year old product and mine to only have just a little bit of lint collected on him, he is in very good shape, and has retained his original shape from day one. Ty products are always durable and long-lasting, so making a small payment of around six dollars for each one is no big deal, really.
The other portion of Spinner, the central and back parts of his central body, are printed in a tiger-style black and orange color. Although Spinner is probably the biggest spider I've ever seen, this type of pattern is more than likely what we would see on common spiders if we were to take them and put them under a microscope. But, I'll leave that part up to you.
Spinner's eyes are red, serving to enhance the Halloween experience.
Spinner's Physical Dimensions
The physical measurements are a bit tricky for this product, since you can measure him in two ways. The first is by stretching out his back legs and going across. If you do that, you should achieve around eight inches. Keeping his legs under his central body will obviously render a much smaller measurement.
DATE OF BIRTH: October 28, 1996
Does this spider make you scared?
Among many people that feeling is shared
Remember spiders have feelings too
In fact, this spider really likes you!
