It started out as a simple hobby when, lo and behold, I realized I have just accumulated 20,000 distinct toy characters in my collection... and the number is still growing. This blog is a great space to share to others just how amazing some of these characters are especially the ones that may have been forgotten or perhaps even those deemed insignificant. Visit Percy's World of Toys as often as you can and witness how the list progresses right before your eyes. Enjoy.

3194. Glo Worm
Glo Worm was a stuffed toy for young children, designed by Hasbro's Playskool division, and made in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Introduced in 1982, the plush, pajamaed worm body contained a battery-powered device that, when squeezed, would light up the toy's vinyl bottom from within, creating a soft glow while playing a soothing lullaby.
The original toy was such a success and Hasbro released a series of story books, night lights, videos and other merchandise that continued until the early 1990s.
In late 2005 the product was criticized for harming children; its plastic head was softened with phthalates, which can be dangerous if swallowed by children.
