This golden monkey is probably created by McDonalds in collaboration with Creata HK Ltd. to represent the different animals in the Chinese calendar. The fabric used for this toy has a very shiny shin to it that it succeeded in its attempt to display a golden color. Gold is very typical of Chinese character as this represents wealth and prosperity. As the McDonald tagline adapted at the time these toys were made available goes,"I'm Loving It." This Golden Monkey I mean and the wealth and prosperity it could bring.
