It started out as a simple hobby when, lo and behold, I realized I have just accumulated 20,000 distinct toy characters in my collection... and the number is still growing. This blog is a great space to share to others just how amazing some of these characters are especially the ones that may have been forgotten or perhaps even those deemed insignificant. Visit Percy's World of Toys as often as you can and witness how the list progresses right before your eyes. Enjoy.

3795. Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant Mascot
Foodies and lovers of Japanese grub will dig this godsend which has been packed with snaking queues since its inception. The reason is simple: the menu is extensive (there’s salads, tempura, kushiyaki, sushi, ramen, gratin, sukiyaki, steaks, pizzas, okonomiyaki and of course desserts), the food is yummy, and what’s more—it’s super affordable. Watami employs the “ishokuya” dining concept, which basically means dining amid a relaxed ambiance. True enough, the interior here is classy but simple, so you can better concentrate on the grub. Service will not disappoint either—staff members actually kneel down to serve you, so don’t choke on your ramen. Try the tasty Watami salad; the delectable potato mochi; the tender ika maru yaki (grilled squid), yummy crispy teba karaage (crispy chicken wings); and the robust ishiyaki bibimbap (rice in a stone pot). Round up your meal with a matcha azuki crepe ($3.80) and you’ll have had a very satisfying meal.
