It started out as a simple hobby when, lo and behold, I realized I have just accumulated 20,000 distinct toy characters in my collection... and the number is still growing. This blog is a great space to share to others just how amazing some of these characters are especially the ones that may have been forgotten or perhaps even those deemed insignificant. Visit Percy's World of Toys as often as you can and witness how the list progresses right before your eyes. Enjoy.

1581. Arcor Teddy Bear
Grupo Arcor (name formed taking the first letters of the words "Arroyito" and "Cordoba": "AR-COR") is a food company specialized in confectionery. The firm was founded on July 5, 1951 in the city of Arroyito, Córdoba, Argentina.
Arcor is the world's largest producer of candies[5] [6], and the largest exporter of confectionery of Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru.
As of 2011[update], Arcor has 40 manufacturing plants, with 29 in Argentina alone and the remaining spread among Brazil (5), Chile (4), Peru (1) and Mexico (1). [7] It has exports to over 117 countries. Its current CEO is Luis Pagani, son of founder Fulvio Salvador Pagani.
The company slogan is: "Le Damos Sabor al Mundo" (Spanish for "We Give the World Flavour").
In 1924, Amos Pagani (Italian immigrant) arrived in Argentina, more specifically to the city of Arroyito (Córdoba), and open a bakery, an occupation that he had exercised in his native Italy.
In 1928, the second of his five children was born, Fulvio Salvador, who, years later, built a factory of candies, together with other people, whose plan (declared by themselves) was "an important production volume, with the purpose of reducing costs."
In 1951 the plant was inaugurated and production began. In 1958, Arcor had already reached a daily production of 60,000 kg (140,000 lb) of sweets. At this point, Arcor wasn't a manufacturer of candies, exclusively. In 1964, the Group carried out its first sales outside Argentina and it began to participate in international events.
