It started out as a simple hobby when, lo and behold, I realized I have just accumulated 20,000 distinct toy characters in my collection... and the number is still growing. This blog is a great space to share to others just how amazing some of these characters are especially the ones that may have been forgotten or perhaps even those deemed insignificant. Visit Percy's World of Toys as often as you can and witness how the list progresses right before your eyes. Enjoy.

2014. Kyorochan
Kyorochan (キョロちゃん?) is a Japanese cartoon bird/parrot that serves as a mascot for a brand of Morinaga chocolate known as ChocoBall. He had his own 1999–2000 anime series.
The end titles of the anime series use a form of claymation. The series was released in very limited amounts in DVD format, and the anime is only found in Japan, Hungary (under the title the named "Kukucska Kalandjai"), Romania (under the original name), Taiwan (under the name 大嘴鳥), Czech Republic (under the title "Červánek"), and South Korea (under the title "왕부리 팅코").
Morinaga has released a limited edition of its long-selling chocolate ball snacks, represented by the popular “Kyoro” bird mascot. Like so many other snack products entering this market this month, this one is being marketed to students preparing for Japanese university entrance exams, with the mascot appearing on the package dress like a professor.
